I visited Monument Valley during the Christmas holiday with the express purpose of taking photographs of this incredible landscape for future paintings. We were lucky to have good, clear weather for two days. It was less than 10F at night in our little tent, so we escaped the cold by driving the scenic drive at the crack of dawn and at sunset. We arrived at North Window with the cliffs ablaze shortly before sunset. The next morning we returned here to have our camp breakfast at the lone picnic table just south of here.
